Gynecologic Conditions

Starting in puberty and throughout a woman’s lifetime her reproductive organs change and develop. The development of a woman’s reproductive system can have a significant effect on sexual intercourse, getting pregnant and general health. Gynecologic conditions can interfere with the proper functioning of the female reproductive system and can cause painful medical conditions.

Annual Gynecology Exams

At Gynecology & Laparoscopic Surgeons, PC (GLSI) in Raleigh, NC we provide annual gynecology exams for women in the Triangle area. Our gynecologists use annual gynecology exams to evaluate women’s reproductive systems and assure proper function or diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions. Gynecology exams also allow our physicians to determine if treatment is effective and helping improve the condition. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends that women get an annual gynecology exam every year starting between ages 13-15.
