Following the completion of her laparoscopy fellowship in 2002, Dr. Lisa Roberts returned to Raleigh, where she had grown up, to establish a permanent home and to open her practice, Gynecology & Laparoscopic Surgeons, PC, serving patients in Raleigh, Cary, and surrounding areas of North Carolina. In January 2007, Dr. Roberts welcomed Dr. Elizabeth Barbee. In January 2008, Dr. Tammy Hilbert joined the practice.
The delightful environment they have created for their patients looks more like something out of the pages of a health-spa magazine than a medical facility. Walking into the waiting room of Gynecology & Laparoscopic Surgeons, PC is a unique experience unlike most other OB/GYN settings. The reception area is small, because rarely does anyone wait for long before being ushered into an examination room filled with lovely furniture and where clinical tools are hidden away in drawers. Patients wear a real — not paper — bathrobe. Comforting details, such as a beverage bar, contribute to the overall atmosphere of warmth and support, while the caring attitudes of the female gynecologists and their staff make a world of difference in the subjective experience of each patient. Patients describe the office as “welcoming and warm,” and enthuse about how much they appreciate the extra-special touches. But they appreciate the doctors’ patience, capability and compassion even more.
All of their physicians specialize in minimally invasive surgery and offer non-surgical treatment options for many gynecological problems. Learn more about their four female women’s health specialists.
